But, if you remove the source of the ability (Oblivion Ring) Then how could it still be around to possibly resolve the first ability?
Once an ability is put onto the stack, it’s not dependent on its source. Oblivion Ring’s abilities will still resolve even if Oblivion Ring isn’t on the battlefield anymore.
